A Few Words About Maryam Abhari
D.Arch, AIA, NCARB:

Maryam Abhari is a licensed architect and LEED-accredited professional with more than five years of professional experience as an architectural and interior designer, project manager, researcher, and educator. She takes a holistic approach to architectural practice. She believes design is a systematic process of experiential value co-creation through exploring context, understanding needs, empathizing with users, and synthesizing responsible solutions.

Maryam received her doctorate in architecture from University of Hawaii at Manoa. She also holds Bachelor of Science degrees in computer software engineering and interior design. Before joining IS Architecture, she worked as an architectural designer and researcher. As a designer, she coordinated and contributed to residential, commercial, and historic preservation projects. As a researcher, she studied ambient intelligence and its applications in architecture. She, for example, examined how technologies such as smart sensor networks and mixed reality could help with digital transformation in architectural practice.
