City of San Diego Historic Site No. 879, George J. Singer House
Based on research and site analysis, the single·-family residence is eligible for historic designation
by the City of San Diego under Criteria C -Architecture. The ca. 1929 structure is an excellent example of Spanish
Colonial Revival architecture and maintains a high degree of integrity in regards to location, setting, design, materials,
workmanship, and feeling. Furthermore, it illustrates the lasting impact of the Panama-California Exposition on San
Diego’s built environment, and is an important visual contributor to the aesthetic character of San Diego’s historic
Marston Hills subdivision.
