City of San Diego Historic Site No. 1213, Lawrence and Dorothy Michel Spec House #1

Location:

Kensington-Talmadge, San Diego, California

The Lawrence and Dorothy Michel Spec House #1 was constructed in 1931. It embodies the distinctive chracteristics of the Spanish Eclectic style and retains a good level of architectural integrity from its period of significance.Specifically, the house exhibits a predominantly flat roof with parapet, tiled gable roof at the front, clay vents in the gable ends, generally smooth stucco over wood framing, a recessed entry porch accessed via concrete steps, and fenestration consisting of single pane fixed and 1-over-1 light, double hung wood windows.
