A Few Words About Robert Davidson:

Robert M. Davidson, Associate AIA, is Project Manager for IS Architecture. His broad range of field experience spans more than 10 years and encompasses architectural design, construction, and historic preservation. He holds a master’s degree in architecture and has a background as an educator, teaching Building Codes and Architectural History as an adjunct faculty member at the NewSchool of Architecture and Design in downtown San Diego.

Mr. Davidson is proficient in Building Information Modeling (BIM), a sophisticated software-based system that yields “intelligent” 3-D models. He has produced building models and drawing sets for projects of all sizes and types, and he has obtained agency approval for projects at both the local and state level. He developed his in-depth knowledge of traditional materials and construction assemblies while earning a certificate in Historic Preservation at the North Bennet Street School.

An avid historian, Mr. Davidson has worked with the National Trust for Historic Preservation at the acclaimed Lyndhurst site, which overlooks the Hudson River in New York state. He has also worked with the firm Marmol Radziner on the restoration of midcentury-modern homes in and around Los Angeles.
