A Few Words About Mayrelis Perez:

Mayrelis Perez Hernandez joined IS Architecture after obtaining her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She specializes in drafting and Revit modeling, while focusing on the importance of preserving historic built environments. Her interest in Historic Preservation spiked while growing up in Cuba and studying at the Northern China University of Technology, where she learned that the built environment is one of the most important elements that shape a community and its people. Her undergraduate work includes curatorial work on the Craig Ellwood and Associates collection, HABS as-built documentation, National Register Nominations, and a focus on Adaptive Reuse projects.

Mayrelis believes a historic building can be integrated into a community to be as efficient and comfortable as a contemporary, custom building is, while preserving its original character and charm.
